Q. I don’t live in Pittsburgh.  Can I still use your services?

 

A.  Yes.  All of our services are conducted via telephone, and email.  You can be located anywhere in the world.


Q.  Do I need a resume to use your services?

 

A.  No.  We will find out everything about your accomplishments, education, and experience during the interview / questionnaire we conduct with you.  Having a resume will give us guidance, but it is definitely not required.


Q.  Why should I use Steel City Resumes?

 

A.  Steel City Resumes is committed to helping our clients succeed.  We have years of Human Resources and recruiting experience.  This gives us an advantage over other companies because we know what recruiters and hiring managers look for in resumes.


Q.  How long does it take for you to make a resume?

 

A.  Generally speaking, it takes us two to four days to complete a resume.  It truly depends on the complexity of the resume.  For example, an executive resume will take longer to produce than an entry level management resume.  For an additional cost, we do provide express services.


Q.  What other services do you provide?

 

A.  In addition to resume writing, we create cover letters, thank you notes, salary histories, and reference lists.  We also create employment profiles, and LinkedIn profiles.  We also conduct job searches and job coaching.  Please see the Prices page for more information.


Q.  I see that you offer free resume evaluations.  Is it really free?

 

A.  Yes, it is absolutely free.  We want you to see how much better your resume can be if you would use our services.  Your resume will be reviewed by a professional recruiter that has years of experience.  If you don’t use our services, it doesn’t cost you anything.

Q.  Why don’t you have sample resumes on your website?

 

A.  Steel City Resumes is committed to keeping our clients information confidential.  We do not share personal information with anyone outside of the company.  We pride ourselves on providing personalized attention to each one of our clients.  Each resume we create is unique because it was created for a specific client.  We do not use templates to create resumes.  We do have samples of our work available for viewing.  Please contact us.


Q.  What is the advantage to purchasing one of your packages?

 

A.  Buying one of our packages saves you money.  You can save anywhere from $10 to $25.  Also, our packages provide you with everything you will need to begin your job search.

 Q.  What type of payment methods do you accept?

A.  For the fastest processing, we utilize PayPal invoicing.  After you have decided the services you would like, we will send you an invoice via email.  All you have to do is review the invoice and click the payment button and use the credit card of your choice. Once the invoice has been paid, we will begin working on your documents.

 

We also accept personal checks and money orders.  However, the check needs to clear before we can send any completed work to you.  This usually takes 7 to 10 business days.
